Internship

A socially distant internship making games

TL;DR

The goal for this internship is to teach you how to make your ideas into a product.

You will act as a PRODUCT MANAGER to help us move ideas from the lightbulb moment to production.

The woRK: Everyday you will check in with us, we will TALK ABOUT THE progress of YOUR tasks and help you come up with solutions.  If you have questions, we are just a Slack or GOOGLE MEET away.

HOW WE WILL HELP YOU: We will try to refine the entrepreneur in you.  This internship will teach you to be flexible, be okay with having a full plate, be okay with being wrong, and prioritizing your time and attention. We’ll teach you to run a crowd funding campaign. WE WILL TEACH YOU HOW TO FIND AND WORK WITH FACTORIES. HOW TO SHIP. HOW TO SELL ON AMAZON. We will give you feedback in really nice ways.  We promise this will help.

WHAT YOU GET: When you are done, you’ll have a couple of great lines on your resume about managing the creation of products that employers can look up on Amazon and see that people are using and enjoying.  You might also come up with your own product idea!

You’ll need to be:

·         Able to take a vague task, ask clarifying questions and run with it

·         Able to teach yourself skills AND DESIGN PROGRAMS that you don’t KNOW

·         Dependable on delivering tasks and communicating progress

·         Easy to get along with

·         Be excited about what we are trying to make

·         Not intimidated by uncertainty

·         Good at e-mail and IMing

·         NOT AFRAID TO ASK QUESTIONS

·         Enjoy card and board games

·         Like talking to people

·         Enjoy talkshows

Things that will make this internship NOT WORK FOR EITHER OF us:

·         YOU ARE Scared to ask questions when you don’t understand things

·         Need every task spelled out perfecktly

·         Saying “I don’t know how to do X” before you have tried to figure it out yourself
